Southern California: Specification Representative

Under general supervision of Sales, Regional or Branch Manager, follows through on referrals from sales representatives and various construction projects, building permits, etc. for product samples and general information used by specifiers, designers and architects. May conduct research in order to determine needs or preferences.

responsibilities:
• Solicit new business.
• Provide guidance and assistance to sales representatives in oral or written form regarding problems with product or information.
• Update sample boards.
• Provide samples and brochures at locations as deemed necessary.
• Develop referral list report reflecting this position’s responsibilities on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
• Perform other duties as required.

Work Qualifications:
3 years experience, reliable transportation, satisfactory MVR, and proof of insurance required. Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, customer service oriented, and have excellent communication skills, and organized. Woodworking experience and/or industry knowledge preferred.

Education:
High school diploma or GED required, college degree and emphasis in sales/marketing preferred.
